Our atelier in Irwindale, CA is currently seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler to become a member of our Supply Chain Team. The role is responsible for building and analyzing the production plan and following through its execution to fulfill on our customers' needs. This role reports to the Planning Manager.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Validate the production plan and launch production work orders on a weekly basis
- Align production targets with customer’s needs in collaboration with the production team
- Validate the available hours on the short/long term horizon with the Planning Manager
- Utilize various tools, i.e. order management system, production planning software, optimization model and data repositories to make production decisions
- Ensure material availability before launching work orders with the collaboration of the purchasing team
- Reschedule work in progress (WIP) to manage unexpected events
- Promote and distribute production reliability key performance indicators
- Participate in applicable daily production meetings and communicate priorities
- Follow-up daily, by assembly line, of the work in progress already released to the floor and prioritize
- Launch production kits according to the production line requirements daily basis
- Propose recommendations on the evolution of the product portfolio
- Lead and/or participate in applicable product development meetings
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned or dictated by business needs
PROFIL
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business is preferred. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree
- 3-5 years relevant experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment
- APICS Certification is a plus
- Proven people skills required, must have ability to work cross-functionally while effectively handling internal pressure
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with an excellent understanding of MRP systems
- Language skills in Spanish and French is a plus
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD$67,000 - $89,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus, comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contribution.
