Alarm Technician
Job Summary:
The Alarm technician is responsible for installation, service and inspection to fire alarm systems relative to his/her experience in accordance with a predetermined scope, budget and schedule. Every position is responsible for safety, prevention of waste, continual improvement, and the following company procedures.
Essential Functions, Duties, Responsibilities:
- Have a working knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Be capable of properly installing fire alarm conduit, wire, devices and control equipment
- Have a complete working knoweldge of N.F.P.A. 72 and 70 latest edition.
- Understand how fire alarm systems interconnect and operate including wiring, supervision and software.
- Have the ability to trouble-shoot, diagnose and repair fire alarm system
- Knowledge of safety procedures
- Ability to read blueprints and install the appropriate materials accordingly
- Specialized knowledge of fire alarm inspection requirements and completion of documentation
- Strength to carry equipment, tools or pipe weighing up to 50 pounds, and to lift 50 pounds of weight above your head
- Must be physically capable of performing work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet or more.
- Ability to climb and work from ladders and operate machinery.
- Favorably pass a criminal background check, DMV driving record check and pass a drug screen test.
- Must be capable of completing and submitting time reports and other documents as required
- Perform any tasks to satisfy the needs of the customer.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Must possess good communication skills and act as a company representative to the costumer.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude throughout high volume periods and when working through challenging situations
- Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members and costumers
Required Qualifications:
Education/License/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 10 year of experience in fire alarms
Pay
$25/hour
