Thomas Safran and Associates is seeking a Community Director for Astra (www.theastra.com), our new mixed-use luxury market rate 243-unit community featuring 50,225 sq ft of ground floor retail space in Inglewood, CA.

The Community Manager is part of a team consisting of an Assistant Manager, three (3) Maintenance Technicians, and works in partnership with the Leasing team. Astra is in a desirable and upcoming location close to the SOFI stadium. This is a high-profile community, in a fast-paced setting with resort style amenities and retail space.

$30.00 - $40.00/hour plus bonuses based on skills and experience

Responsibilities:

  • Planning exciting resident activities to create a warm community environment
  • Supervising on-site maintenance staff and projects to preserve the property in a beautiful condition
  • Maintaining resident relations in compliance with Occupancy and Fair Housing guidelines and respond quickly and courteously to resident and management related concerns and questions
  • Reviewing monthly financial reports and preparing annual budgets
  • Marketing and leasing vacancies to maintain a high occupancy rate
  • Meet and exceed the standards by daily inspecting the property, model units, and leasing tour
  • CAM administration and CAM reconciliation
  • Lease units in compliance with Thomas Safran and Associates policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations.

Experience and Skills:
  • High School diploma/GED required. College degree or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience preferred.
  • Five (5) years’ solid management experience in hospitality, hotel or market rate luxury apartment community experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office required. Yardi preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Warm, outgoing personality
  • Strong written and verbal skills
