Position Summary
The Accounting Specialist, an hourly non-exempt role, provides accounting support for functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and general ledger. Additional support for high-level accounting practices including budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting analysis duties may be assigned.

Ownership
  • Review, code and process assigned invoices utilizing established accounting procedures.
  • Provide timely and accurate balancing and reconciliation of assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain reports and files on asset and liability account balances.
  • Create and maintain regular reports via the company’s accounting system.
  • Input credit and debits to the accounting system in support of established processes and procedures.
  • Record general ledger entries for account changes.
  • Prepare departmental KPIs and other performance management reports.
  • Maintain and update department SharePoint sites.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and present information to the Controller.
  • Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving; and adjusting plans.
  • Respond to internal and external payment status inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks including: date stamping, filing, price verification, mailing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
  • Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
  • This position may have responsibilities related to food safety and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or a business-related field and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience with Accounting software and Office 365 applications including but not limited to Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary position with no unusual physical requirements.
