Shipping Clerk

Primary Function:

Operates an industrial lift in a safe manner to transport, lift, load, unload, place into/take from storage materials, products, supplies, equipment or machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Picks up, loads and delivers to designated areas, unloading, lifting, and stocking as necessary.
• Removes braces, strapping and/or protective materials from loads or shipments as required.
• Operates unender to upend skid loads of materials
• Is familiar with storage, loading locations, and floor capacities.
• Is responsible for securing and delivering proper materials and other items as specified. Checks materials and other items for visible damage.
• Manually lifts, moves, stacks, and/or handles materials and other items.
• May be required to weigh materials and record weights.
• Checks and fills oil, water, batteries, propane tanks, etc. on industrial trucks (non-mechanical) and related equpment as required, referring mechanical difficulties to the supervisor. Conduct weekly PM's and daily forklift inspections.
• Completes shipping documentation utilizing entrprise-wide systems. Generates bills of lading.
• Observes all approved safety practices.

Professional & Education Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous forklift experience required
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  Hiring Salary Range: $ 28.48/hr
• Benefits: At our Ball Kent, WA facility, we offer a wide range of benefits to our employees (and their eligible family members) aligned with the current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and applicable probationary period. We offer medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverages. Employees are eligible to participate in the retirement pension plan for this facility. Upon successful completion of 12 months of employment and having reached 1,000 work hours employees will also receive one week of vacation leave per year, and additional time earned in accordance with the Vacation Plan outlined in the CBA. Additionally there are 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
