The Program Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the Executive Director and Director of the Center for European and Russian Studies. Major duties include outreach coordination, event management, office administration, accounting, grant and fellowship administration support, website and social media maintenance.
Routine responsibilities include organizing outreach activities and events, providing logistical support for events, guest speakers and visiting scholars, managing public information and community relations activities, carrying out daily office operations, preparing orders and payments, maintaining records, assisting with grant preparation and implementation, managing the Center's online presence.
The Program Coordinator is expected to prioritize multiple tasks according to time sensitivity and importance, and to demonstrate independent thinking and resourcefulness in utilizing university and external resources to obtain information and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Occasional evening and/or weekend work hours required.

Skill in organizing and prioritizing various projects and administrative tasks, meet established deadlines, make informed recommendations, and work with potential interruptions.

Ability to record, edit, and post podcasts online.

Demonstrated proficiency in operating computers in Windows and Mac environments. Skill in using Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook to produce business correspondence, presentations, financial reports, tables, graphs and mail merge databases.

Experience with photo and design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign or Illustrator.

Demonstrated writing skills. Ability to compose and edit correspondence and other documents in a grammatically correct, logical and concise manner.

Demonstrated skill in creating and maintaining accurate and complete records and files, in both electronic and hard copy format.

Skill in designing and maintaining a logical filing system of business correspondence, financial records and administrative documents.

Experience with Box or other cloud storage and file sharing services for business.

General knowledge of UCLA resources and administrative policies and procedures.

Experience with UCLA finance and travel systems, in particular Bruin Buy and Express/Concur.
