This is a provisional appointment.
Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Under general supervision, interprets policies, rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:- Receives requests, instructions or information pertaining to all aspects of the Permit Application Payment Process for Inspectional Services.
- Investigates reconciliation records, payment files and other information resources to obtain necessary information for any requested reports.
- Classifies information according to office procedures.
- Transfers and posts information to records.
- Sends, routes, and relays forms, materials and information.
- Maintains files, filing, typing of forms, memos, letters, and other materials.
- Processes forms, checking them for accuracy and completeness.
- Answers and places telephone calls. Gives information to general public.
- Performs related work as required.
- Applicant must have at least three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, office experience in an administrative position.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and focus on details as required by the job.
- Familiarity with payment of the permit applicant process and Permit Counter preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- A multi-lingual candidate is preferred.
- Applicants meeting the minimum entrance qualifications will be considered for this position.
