Overview:

This is a provisional appointment.

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

Under general supervision, interprets policies, rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Receives requests, instructions or information pertaining to all aspects of the Permit Application Payment Process for Inspectional Services.
  • Investigates reconciliation records, payment files and other information resources to obtain necessary information for any requested reports.
  • Classifies information according to office procedures.
  • Transfers and posts information to records.
  • Sends, routes, and relays forms, materials and information.
  • Maintains files, filing, typing of forms, memos, letters, and other materials.
  • Processes forms, checking them for accuracy and completeness.
  • Answers and places telephone calls. Gives information to general public.
  • Performs related work as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications:
  • Applicant must have at least three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, office experience in an administrative position.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and focus on details as required by the job.
  • Familiarity with payment of the permit applicant process and Permit Counter preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • A multi-lingual candidate is preferred.
  • Applicants meeting the minimum entrance qualifications will be considered for this position.
