The Workday Analyst is at the epicenter of our rapidly expanding HR team. This position will help to build upon the foundation we are setting for a data informed culture. We have just begun to scratch the surface for our reporting tools and are looking for someone to help elevate our ability to manage position information, position reporting and ensuring continuity in our records management processes. What you need to qualify

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority;
OR

Valid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one-year Human Resource experience;

OR
Three years Human Resource paraprofessional or technical-level experience.
Note: The State Certified Human Resources Professional (SCHRP) certification, awarded by the Oregon Chief Human Resources Office, substitutes for six months of human resource professional-level experience.
Valid Certification as a SHRM Certified Professional awarded by a nationally recognized organization, substitutes for one year of human resource professional-level experience.
Essential attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
  • Demonstrated experience cleaning and/or analyzing sets of data.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, accounts, or information for large groups of customers or clients.
  • Experience providing customer service and technical guidance to a diverse group of managers and staff regarding complex personnel actions, policies, or business processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment where priorities may shift regularly.
  • Experience researching problem-solving confidential information in accordance with agency, business policies, or Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Your duties at a glance
The Office of Human Resources (HR) serves as a strategic partner to its customers, providing proactive, comprehensive human resources services, in alignment with agency and program mission and goals. HR works closely with internal customers on Workforce Strategies that support agency and program strategies, and a healthy workplace culture of ongoing development and feedback, to help ensure both ODHS have the right people with the right skills, training, and support to do their work, now and in the future.
As a Workday Analyst, you will:
  • Navigate within the Workday to:
    • Create and assign position numbers for temporary employees, direct appointments, and HR actions.
    • Create organizational groups and move employees within assigned groups.
    • Maintain and perform quality assurance reviews on organization moves, position moves and position number changes within the system.
  • Actively collaborates with internal units to ensure that positions are created within the Workday system timely and accurate.
  • Regularly pull reports from the Workday System and crosswalk results to ensure accuracy of records created.
Working conditions
  • Remote work or alternative work location will be considered in filling this position. The ability to report to Salem is required when a business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities.
  • This position requires the incumbent to work a professional work week where the hours of work fluctuate on a daily and weekly basis.
  • There is extensive use of computers and telephones.
